NewsNow Desk: Dubai has achieved the feat of being the first paperless government in the world after transitioning to full digital transactions.

Dubai has achieved the Paperless Strategy launched in 2018 to get established as a leading digital capital to become the world’s first paperless government.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, said they have been able to reach a new stage in Dubai’s journey to digitize life.

“Four years ago, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had a vision that no Dubai Government employee or customer would need to print any paper document after 2021. Today, that promise has been fulfilled,” he said.

“As we complete a full transition to a paperless government, we are proud to see the ambitious vision of our leadership being fulfilled by the people of our country,” he added.

His Highness complimented the people of UAE for turning the country into a world-leading digital capital.

The Crown Prince said that they would work to advance strategies to create and enhance digital life in Dubai.
