Newsnow Desk: Dhaka International Trade Fair will not be held in March this year as the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is yet to approve this concern.
Meanwhile, Commerce Secretary Dr Md Zafar Uddin today said, “For the time being, it’s not being held or there is much possibility of not being held. Now I can only say this. Tomorrow I can say in details.”
Due to the vast spread of Covid-19 this year’s 26th edition of Dhaka International Trade Fair (DIFT) was proposed to be held in March this year instead of the first week of January to the first week of February every year at the capital’s Agargaon.
But this year the organizer, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), has fixed March 17 to inaugurate the fair due to the coronavirus pandemic which was originally scheduled for January 1.
